Startup and shutdown

This procedure is in draft form and will be completed for the specific site during commissioning.

Startup

1. Check that the motion envelope is clear and that the access doors are closed.
2. Switch on the main switch (Q1). The control supply (24 V) and the drives are energized.
3. Check that all emergency stop buttons are released, then press the Reset button.
4. Start the NGS Simulator application on the host computer; verify that the Web API service is running.
5. Enable the axes via Motion Platform Manager and move them to the reference/park position.

Normal shutdown

1. Stop the active scenario and bring the platform to the park position.
2. Disable the axes (the brakes engage).
3. Close the application.
4. For extended downtime, switch off the main switch.

Emergency

In the event of any abnormal noise, vibration or behavior, press the emergency stop button. Do not restart the system until the cause has been identified.
